Student assistant, part-time

We are looking for students for the Creative Space for Technical Innovations (in short: //CSTI), who will support us in various tasks around administration and servers. The //CSTI is a research and transfer laboratory at the HAW Hamburg. It is a place for the development of new ideas and innovative prototypes in the field of human-computer interaction and smart systems. We operate very different systems for students, interdisciplinary teams and research projects. Our way of working is based on a close cooperation between university, economy and institutions from Hamburg and the surrounding area, which leads to a colourful mix of people, topics and methods. An interesting environment awaits you!

The following tasks await you:

• Integration of new services for students in our laboratory
• Support of different systems based on Linux and/or Windows
• Collaboration in different areas depending on your interests such as Linux server systems, docker containers, Windows domain administration or script languages
• Assistance for students in working with the provided systems
• Assembly and commissioning of server and desktop systems
• Support in the procurement of new hardware and software

Requirements profile:

• Fun and interest in the configuration of Linux systems
• Interest in working independently in our team

Payment: 10,13 Euro / Hour
